Gee, this one has been sitting a while. Partly because I had trouble with my web building software and partly because I got out of the habit of blogging. Whoops! It’s been two weeks already. My excuse is that I was working on taxes for the last week, and I’m sticking with it.
This was done the 2nd week of February with a seasonal theme. Usually the specific occasion is not referenced in my composites. The starter image was brass gears and the textured background were both from Pixabay; the heart and heart cage were from PixelSquid. I fleshed everything out with gradients, adjustment layers and color changes. I tied so hard to do a red heart, but this comp just wouldn’t behave. It wanted bleak and black. Who am I to argue. I discovered a long time ago, that with art, an evolution can occur in the creative process and I end up with something way different than I originally intended. Like the commissioned white tiger that insisted on being a bunny.
Take care and stay well.
